Effect of compression loading speeds on the room temperature mechanical properties of as-extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy

چکیده

Abstract The room temperature compression experiments of as-extruded AZ31 magnesium alloy under different loading speeds were carried out on a universal tensile testing machine. fracture failure characteristics and mechanism the analyzed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) optical (OM). results show that during test, crushed sample has certain pier coarseness, macro is located at one third sample, mode 45° shear with axis; With increase speed, coincidence degree becomes worse, its compressive strength changes in an undulating manner. When speed 2mm/min, reaches peak value 413MPa, morphology shows typical flat rock like ductile brittle mixed fracture. proportion components increases, shape shrinkage fracture, fluctuation relatively slow, dimples distributed surface are elongated torn, no obvious effect morphology.
